Sporting Lisbon Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Sporting are unbeaten in their last 17 Primeira Liga games, winning 16 times in a run which began with a 2-0 victory over Porto in the reverse fixture, and they look far too good for anybody in Portugal this term. Porto have failed to win either of their last two home league games and could struggle against their rampant visitors.

Sporting Lisbon 2-1

Reason for tip

While Porto are unlikely to take anything from this game – although a draw isn’t entirely out of the question as they are still a talented side – they should at least find the net. Both teams to score has been a winning bet in their last four games as well as ten of the last 16 meetings between this pair.

FC Porto vs Sporting Lisbon Predictions

  • Both teams to score has been a winning bet in Porto’s last four games and their last four home matches
  • Sporting are unbeaten in 17 Primeira Liga games, winning 16 in that run
  • Ten of the last 16 meetings between this pair have seen both teams score, with nine of those going over 2.5 goals

Sporting set to take big step towards title

Sporting are on the cusp of their 20th Primeira Liga title and can take a huge step towards clinching it by beating 30-time champions Porto on Sunday.

Lisbon could even be named champions on Sunday if they win and Benfica lose to Braga the day before, and Ruben Amorim will be keen to get a result in Porto.

Recent form suggests they will too, given Sporting have won 16 matches in an ongoing 17-game unbeaten run in the Primeira Liga – a sequence which began with a 2-0 victory over Sergio Conceicao’s side in the reverse fixture.

Amazing Amorim’s super side look unstoppable

Sporting look simply unstoppable right now and have scored a ludicrous 58 goals in their 17-match unbeaten streak. Their firepower is frightening and they could prove too strong for their hosts on Sunday.

Porto’s last two home games have seen them lose  to fifth-placed Vitoria Guimaraes and draw with eighth-placed Famalicao, suggesting they will struggle against by far and away the best team in Portugal.

Sporting top the league table, home table, away table, form table and their star striker Viktor Gyokeres is even top of the scoring charts. Amorim’s men are the best in the league by some way and should extend their unbeaten run to 18 in Porto.
