Vitoria Guimaraes Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Vitoria Guimaraes need to win to have any chance of finishing fourth while Sporting Braga can still finish third with a draw, but it complicates their goal. Three wins in their last four at home and a good derby record on their own turf mean Os Conquistadores are worthy of support, although Draw no Bet may be the best way of doing it.

Vitoria Guimaraes 2-1

Reason for tip

Vitoria Guimaraes have won each of the last two Minho derbies at home by 2-1 scorelines and that could be repeated if they maintain their recent record of winning home games by the odd goal.

Jota Silva To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Jota Silva has scored in five of his last nine league appearances for Vitoria Guimaraes and this could be his final home game for the club before a probable big-money move in the summer.

Vitoria Guimaraes vs Braga Predictions

  • Vitoria Guimaraes need to win to have any chance of finishing fourth
  • Sporting Braga can still finish third with a draw, but it complicates their goal
  • Vitoria Guimaraes have won each of the last two Minho derbies at home by 2-1 scorelines

Plenty at stake in Minho derby

Vitoria Guimaraes will prove testing opponents for Sporting Braga as they attempt to maintain their bid for a podium finish.

Braga are a point behind third-placed Porto with two games to go, but host the Dragons in the final round of fixtures next week. A draw at Estádio Dom Afonso Henriques would complicate their challenge for direct entry into the Europa League group stages, but it would ensure they finish above their Minho rivals.

This derby clash has favored the home sides in recent years with Os Conquistadores winning each of the last two at their home by 2-1 scorelines.

Os Conquistadores can prevail

And, although their form looks a bit patchy coming into this clash, there is no doubt the crowd will be revved up and ready to inspire the hosts to another derby win.

Braga have lost a bit of momentum since Artur Jorge left, but they showed the sport of spirit required for a game like this when they came back from 2-1 down to beat Casa Pia last week, grabbing the winner while down to 10 men.

Suspensions to two key players mean Braga will not be at full strength, which could tip the balance towards the home side. A 2-1 Vitoria win is the preference with attacker Jota Silva the man to watch in what should be his final home game before gracing pastures new next season.
