Draw on the cards in Naples

Saturday’s Serie A clash between Napoli and Bologna has stalemate written all over it. The Partenopei are winless in four games, of which three were drawn, while Bologna seem intent on earning their Champions League berth one point at a time.

Thiago Motta’s men have drawn four of their last five league games, including 0-0 snoozefests against mid-table outfits Torino, Monza and Fronsinone.

I Rossoblu dominated possession and created more than their opponents in all of those games, but their failure to get on the board will be a concern to anyone considering a bet on the visitors this weekend.

Osimhen looking sharp

Napoli have been most untrustworthy this season in one of the worst title defences in recent memory. Now onto their third coach of the season and with some of the stars of their Scudetto success likely to move on in the summer, it feels like many cannot wait for the campaign to end.

It certainly looked that way towards the end of their 1-1 draw at Udinese last weekend when, after being put under the pump, they finally conceded the equaliser in stoppage time.

Victor Osimhen, who curtailed his celebrations after netting a 15th league goal of the campaign, looks lively enough to add to his four strikes in five games. But Bologna seem to score when they have to and should be able to eke out a 1-1 draw at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
