Barcelona To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Barcelona have won four of their last five La Liga games and kept clean sheets in four. The promotion of Pau Cubarsi to start alongside Ronald Araujo has stiffened their defence up greatly in recent weeks. Meanwhile,  Las Palmas have lost three of their last five league matches and failed to score each time.

Barcelona 3-0

Reason for tip

Barcelona have scored exactly three goals in their last two games and average 2.5 goals per home league game since Christmas. They can score three against a Las Palmas side that shipped five at Atletico Madrid and has failed to score away to all the other current top-five clubs in la Liga.

Barcelona vs Las Palmas Predictions

  • Barcelona have won four of their last five La Liga games and kept clean sheets in four
  • Las Palmas have lost three of their last five league matches and failed to score each time
  • Barcelona have won their last two home games against Las Palmas without conceding

Cubarsi solidifies a blossoming Barca side

Barcelona are blossoming right now and should cruise to a comfortable victory against an ailing Las Palmas side on Saturday night.

Xavi’s side are unbeaten in their last 10 outings with seven wins and three draws while Las Palmas have lost four and drawn three of their last eight games. This clash looks like a bit of a mismatch now, but it certainly wasn’t when the two sides met in Gran Canaria a couple of months ago when it took a stoppage-time penalty from Ilkay Gundigan to send Barca back to the mainland with all three points.

The Blaugrana are a much younger and more exciting side now with Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi getting regular starts. Barca have not lost a La Liga game when Cubarsi has started and the 17-year-old centre-back has been a significant factor in them keeping clean sheets in their last four league games.

Hosts should win to nil

The home side should be able to shut Las Palmas out, laying the platform for a comfortable win on Saturday, if he maintains his current form.

The visitors have failed to score in three of their last five matches, including a morale-sapping 5-0 defeat at Atletico Madrid. They remain in mid-table thanks to some superb home results earlier this season, but they have lost six of their last 12 away games.

And, significantly for a Barcelona win to nil bet, they failed to score at any of the other top five clubs they have visited so far this season.
